This is a year of order and function. That which is not working will become uncomfortably obvious. This is our wake-up call. It is a call for personal, communal and global responsibility. This year will introduce a period of reorganization and restructuring of our foundational systems to include governments, corporations and religions.
The Emperor will empower us to create a strong, stable and secure foundations. You may be called to lead the way. 2020 promises to be a time where hard work and discipline will be required. Everyone will be called to do their part.
The Hebrew letter assigned to The Emperor is Heh (hay). It translates as the window. Heh invites us to use the window to assess and to understand the current state of affairs. The view evokes a clear perspective of the situation at hand. The first step on the path of transformation is awareness. Heh gives us the opportunity to see what we need to see so that we can do what we need to do. This window works both ways. As such, it provides a space where the Light of the Infinite can shine into our consciousness and into our world.
The Emperor is the 15th Pathway on the Tree of Life. It is the Constituting Intelligence, so called because it constitutes the substance of creation in pure darkness. We are challenged by this darkness – even though we have been given a window (Heh) through which to see. To assist us in the darkness, this pathway is known as the Angelic Gateway. The Luminaries will offer spiritual support as they shine a light upon our path. It is up to us, however, to find the courage to face the darkness and make the journey onward.
In the Kabbalah, the fourth Sefirah is Hesed. It is translated as Mercy and it demonstrates authority with love, majesty and magnificence. It is the Sefirah that builds from a foundation of loving-kindness and generosity. Hesed reveals to us that love is the hope for tomorrow.
