Dear Ones,
I felt the quiet dignity of the Earth during these last days of winter. We humans, with our hustle and bustle are a flurry of fuss and busyness. What a contrast. The late snow was so appropriate in response to our rush to spring. There was no amount of effort that would have brought forth spring before spring was ready to be birthed.
Winter has its role. It has afforded us an ample opportunity to wonder and to discover who we are now in this moment; to dream a new dream; to gather the seeds that will be planted in the spring.
Yesterday afternoon the wheel of the year shifted from winter to spring. Today we are being gifted with a new moon in Aries – a fiery activation to baptize the new season.
The Sun in springtime always heralds new beginnings – not only for the season but as the Holy Initiator of beginning anew. Where in your life is it time to start over? The cumulative astrological energy of the time asks us to release the past once and for all so that we may step forward into a whole new way of Being.
Practical Saturn has moved into dreamy Pisces. Saturn’s discipline can motivate us to do the work to make our dreams come true.
On Thursday, transformative Pluto shifts from the 29th degree of Capricorn to 0 degrees of Aquarius activating the Age of Aquarius. During the course of the next year, Pluto will move back and forth along the 29th degree of Capricorn providing an opportunity for us to complete our Pluto in Capricorn business.
Pluto moved into Capricorn in 2008. Capricorn is about structure, accomplishment, loyalty, dedication, and discipline. Pluto in Capricorn, as a generational energy, transformed many of our structures and securities.
This is a great time to reflect on where you were in 2008. What types of transformations and changes have happened in your life since that time? Whenever the 29th degree of a sign is activated, it is time of being tested. It is our final exam. Reflect. Acknowledge. Forgive. Release. Integrate. Honor and bless.
In harmony with the new season, and all of the dynamic energies that are in play, I am offering a NEW monthly gathering at Sanctuary Yoga - a Sacred Circle of spiritual practice and community. So many of you have requested such a gathering and it certainly feels like the right time.
It is my intention that this new gathering will be meaningful – a genuine opportunity to prepare, affirm, grow, evolve and bless our lives. We all have commitments and limited availability. I am also offering a Spring Yoga & Meditation Retreat on Saturday, April 22 -Earth Day- at Sanctuary Yoga. This time is an opportunity for us to dive deep into some of the extraordinary kriyas and meditations that make Kundalini Yoga so effective. We will expand our hearts and open to new portals of potentiality. (I am having fun with portals these days…) You can find out more here.
