At the beginning of each new month, I ponder my focus. For the most part, I choose to live my life in harmony with the energy of the times. This includes the flow of the seasons, the movements of the moon, sun, planets and stars and the numerology of the month and year.
One of the first things that called me when I stepped on to the path was numerology. I was always able to sense the energy or vibrational frequency of people, places and things. In numerology, I finally found a practice that explained and defined what I was sensing.
In the integrated numerology that I use, this month is a 19. It is the Sun card in the tarot major arcana. “A new day is dawning”. However, this energy is asking you to do the work and to put in the effort that is needed. This is not just about the sun shining and all will be well. There is a call to participate.
Astrologically speaking, the sun is currently in Virgo. Virgo is all about doing the work and attending to the details. This September calls us to honor our responsibilities. As we move through the month, the sun will move into Libra bringing autumn. We will shift; adjusting to the new season.
Tuning in to this information is useful. However, there is much more to the energy of these times - so much more. What needs to be said is that we, collectively, have all arrived at our destiny. Whatever it is that is showing up in your life, there is reason and purpose to it.
Social Media is one of the ways to stay on top of current events. In small doses, I am grateful to connect with yogic wisdom and to read inspirational quotes by Rumi and Mary Oliver. As a parent of a golden retriever, I love all the sweet stuff about this amazing breed.
As a dedicated student and teacher, I appreciate the opportunity to grow my wisdom. However, I have found myself disconnecting with several teachers and leaders of late. If they are presenting that whatever they are selling is still the most important thing in the world, I am stepping away. If they repeatedly fail to acknowledge that very serious things are happening in this world, I am stepping away. We are not meant to live in a bubble. We are not meant to escape from reality or pretend that what happens out there does not affect us all.
We are all connected. Your mission is not a reason to disconnect from the whole. It does not matter how complicated your life is. Your status, your finances, your busyness, none of that is a valid excuse. No matter what, all of us on this beautiful, complicated planet are interconnected.
We feel the suffering when whole villages are washed away. We share the pain of loss and grief. Our interconnection also allows us to celebrate the wins. We share the miraculous moments. We are in this together.
As such, there are times when we need to pause; when we need to be reverent; when we need to be humble and grateful; when we need to be generous and giving.
There are times when we are the ones who will do the blessing.
There are times when we are the ones who need to be blessed.
So many great Beings who have gone before us have reminded us that no one will be left behind. We are not safe until all of us are safe. We are not enlightened, until all of us are enlightened.
May we find the strength to honor our interconnectedness. May we have the courage to ask for support when we need it and may we have to grace to extend support when it is called upon. May we be there for each other.
In Grateful Connection,
Robin
