Spring is in the air! On March 20th, the Spring Equinox arrives. Mercury will go direct on the same day. In Michigan, we have had an enduring winter. Astrologically, spring will arrive and we can, indeed, move ahead.
The astrological new year begins when the sun passes from Pisces into Aries. Today, just before the arrival of spring, we have a new moon in Pisces. This new moon gives us a chance to reflect on what was and what is and to dream a new dream for the coming season and the astrological new year.
We are invited to pause and reflect on the past year. The world is different than it was a year ago. What have you healed? What have you released? What is beginning? What are you holding in your heart?
“Sankalpa is a Sanskrit term in yogic philosophy that refers to a heartfelt desire, a solemn vow, an intention, or a resolve to do something… This term comes from the Sanskrit roots san, meaning "a connection with the highest truth," and kalpa, meaning "vow." -Yogapedia
What intention is rising from your heart and soul? I invite you to draw upon the power of Sankalpa to create a new path for yourself. No matter what the circumstance, we can always begin again.
I am humbled by all that has shifted in my life in the past year. Last March marked the one-year anniversary of my spinal fracture. It took months to get the diagnosis. A year ago, I was in pain and very unsure of the pathway ahead. I did not give in to my fear. Yoga was my saving grace. I am so grateful for the increasing strength, flexibility and mobility that I have gained this past year.
Also, a year ago, I was also walking a dear friend home. Although, I did not really understand that at the time. I was just holding faith with light, love and positive energy. My friend was able to manifest many miracles before her passing in the fall. I am honored to have known her.
This beautiful fragile life will not wait for you to get your shit together! It marches on at a staggering pace.
If you do not know what your next step is, begin with gratitude. There is always something to be grateful for.
The sun will shine again reminding us that life goes on and we are here for a reason.
When we are too overwhelmed to know what we truly want, we can begin with gratitude. When we do not know where to go or what to do, we can let our heart overflow with thanksgiving for all the good that is manifesting in our lives and in the world.
From our gratitude, a path will emerge. Gratitude is a potent pathway to purpose.
I am so grateful for my life. My husband, children and grandchildren. My friends and my clients. There is so much to be excited about. I am not hoping for a better tomorrow. Everyday, I am creating a blessed and beautiful new world.
This gratitude led me to more yoga teacher training. It has guided me to create a new class. I am filling my website with all the tools that have blessed my life. I am here. I am ready, willing and able. Please let me know how I can support you.
May this new season bring blessings, beauty and faith in a better tomorrow.
